And before I get sermons like how it is a show of talent plus appearance yada yada yada , I would like to point out that past great singers like Lata , Asha , Mukesh etc did not exactly set the stage on fire with their appearance , it was their talent and only talent which got them through. Last year , Karunya was much better than everybody else, even all the judges acknowledged this , but yet lost out.

He was by far, the superior singer according to all the three judges. In fact , it was Sonu Nigam who alluded to the fact that Karunya did not win because he did not get votes from North and Indian Idol is not watched in the South.
