The best names of Indian cricket like Sachin, Dravid, Kumble, Srinath, Zaheer have played county cricket and got better. They have great infrastructure, good quality teams and testing conditions which will make the youngsters grow into all round cricketers who can do well everywhere. Kohli, Pujara, Rahane, Rohit Sharma, Ishant, Ashwin, Umesh Yadav, Raina etc should have played couple of seasons of county cricket by now. But BCCI's adamant attitude and not allowing young players the time to participate in county cricket is costing the team and will hurt us big time in the future as well.

Big risk, their skills can be copied by Englishmen. Zaheer Khan taught Anderson how to reverse swing the cricket ball and rest is history! He owned India in India. Do you want England to have players with skill equivalent to likes of Raina, Rohit etc? Save our Cricketers! Our players can learn from Legends of game in IPL.

If BCCI allows' date=' then youngsters can play county ckt..& now county ckt clashes with IPL. No chance[/quote'] We dont have any reason to complain when there are more white washes in tests.

Why go to county cricket, when there is Ranji and India A tour program. Sort out your own domestic structure and everything will take care of itself. Couple of games in county cricket is over-rated. County cricket is helpful for players free from international calendar and are able to play nearly 20 first class games in three months to figure themselves out.

Are you joking ? Ranji cricket has terrible quality of pitches and teams. Flat pitches with pop gun bowling attacks and flat track bullies. This is what Indian domestic cricket is all about. There is still talent in India but they are not going in the right direction. If IPL and T20 is what Indian cricket future is all about, then we shouldnt even be discussing test cricket or quality of cricketers from now on. Any cow lasher can score runs in IPL.

That's my point, why go aboard when we have our own domestic structure. Improve this structure to ensure it produces quality rather than calling for players to go to county. Fecking slap bans on places like Chepauk and Rajkot who roll out flat decks. How is it places like Punjab and West Bengal produce good result pitches whilst some cop out to churn out draw infested matches. Also slap fines on negative tactics like UP did early this season when in a winnable position they didn't enforce follow on and batted out for a draw.

when BCCI wont reprimand the national team captain for playing slow or losing matches, how can you expect them to fine a state team?

But even if they start improving it now, it will be a while before there will be any real difference in the quality of cricket or players. So what will happen to the present lot ? There's nothing to lose if the current youngsters in the team play county cricket or a season in Aus or SA. It will help them acclimatize to the conditions and also improve their technique. It will be a good experience. Of course, if BCCI insists on them playing only IPL, nothing can be done.
