Pujara will replace him if he sucks again. So, Pujara will not play the first match. Stupid of the selectors to create a situation like that. They could have straight axed Gauti and brought in Mukund there. Mukund could have been the backup opener. It was so simple really. :wall: :wall: In ODIs Dhawan would've been a better opyion.

ShebbySB Posted January 10, 2013 Posted January 10, 2013 My XI for 1st ODI would look like this:- Rahane Gambhir Pujara Kohli Dhoni Yuvraj Raina Ashwin Bhuv Kumar Shami Ishant Reasons-We can afford to play 7 batsmen against England as the likes of Yuvi,Raina will be effective with the ball.Dhoni is in great form so he should come up the order.I would hold back Yuvi & Raina for their hitting abilities in the slog overs.Shami in for Dinda will also raise some eyebrows but I just don't like that lil guy with the head band.Shami should play at least first 3 matches.

He has to of course cut out the other rubbish. Dhoni seems to be encouraging him to get there presently.
