Cevno Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 A thread too track the best domestic spinners and emerging ones. Please mention who you think is a talented spinner and how you rate him if you have watched him, here and i'll try and keep track of the most promising prospects for team India here. Shahbaz Nadeem seems to be a top performer this season. Has been good in the IPL too, though not sure what to make of it. Ankeet Chavan has been very good too. So many left arm spinners around. Who would be the best leggies and offies in the country ?
Magneto Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 This thread is gonna be merged in the next 5 minutes. :om:
Magneto Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 With which thread ? Emerging Indian spinners thread created sometime back. Use the 'Search' function.

The mods will do the needful soon I am guessing. :winky: The new SLA spinners are mostly fastish, dart-throwing types.
India-KXIP fan Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Harbhajan Singh is the one to watch. Out of form and the wickets section may not look so good but he still has alot of skills to offer.
Cevno Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 Does Ladda turn the ball or is he a Rahul Sharma/Kumble type bowler?
Cevno Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 Harbhajan Singh is the one to watch. Out of form and the wickets section may not look so good but he still has alot of skills to offer. He needs to get his loop and turn back, then maybe. But does he have the fight anymore ?
Cevno Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 The new SLA spinners are mostly fastish, dart-throwing types. Iqbal Abdullah flights the ball from what i have seen. Not sure how Nadeem bowls in domestic ? Who else ? Harmeet should really change his team, if he can.
Magneto Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Iqbal Abdullah flights the ball from what i have seen. Not sure how Nadeem bowls in domestic ? Who else ? Harmeet should really change his team, if he can. Ankeet Chavan, Rakesh Dhruv, Bharghav Bhatt, Jalaj Sexena, Pervez Rasool, Akshay Darekar, Sarabjit Ladda. I saw Ankeet Chavan's 9-20 spell against Punjab which was awesome. He is tall, gets decent bounce and turn. But he is fastish. We'll never know clearly unless we watch them bowl. Harmeet needs to change his team. Even leggie Sagar Goriwale is ahead of him.
Cevno Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 Dabholkar playing ahead of him too in the ongoing match. Btw, What's the opinion on Karan Sharma at Railways ? Seems to be doing well and is a leggie. Also, Ali Murtuza. I've seen Ankeet Chavan too, and he looks decent. Yeah, flattish but seems to mix it up.
Sooda Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Vikas Mishra of Delhi and Aushik Srinivas of TN.. i think Mishra is an offie and Aushik a SLA. Both are still young but been around a while...
Cevno Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 Parvez Rasool doing well for J and K like Jadeja was for Saurashtra. Both are all rounders though. Not sure what to make of Rasool though, as he plays for J and K.
rkt.india Posted January 7, 2013 Posted January 7, 2013 Vikas Mishra of Delhi and Aushik Srinivas of TN.. i think Mishra is an offie and Aushik a SLA. Both are still young but been around a while... Mishra is an SLA, played in U19 wc this year too.

They saw grass and some moisture in the pitch and played 4 pacers.
