vandokkum Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 This guy in my opinion is probably India's best Odi seamer now that Zaheer is well past it. I don't think Munaf has even played a match in years, or has he? He is clearly better than the likes of Ishant.
puneet28 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Please don't ask about Agarkar or Nehra next ? We need to try some young bowlers and you are thinking of Munah. Already pis**d of Ishant's bad form there

The Outsider Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Munaf patel is not 35' date=' is he?[/quote'] No, but he is trapped in a 53 year old body.
express bowling Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Munaf is a lazy cricketer. His fielding is horrible, he bowls as slowly as he can and his skills are also average. I don't think it is a good idea to introduce s lazy non-trier in the team. There are many new hardworking bowlers who are decent skillwise.

Fair enough, but then Ashwin, Ishant, Sehwag etc should all be dropped as well.
Vivek.S.123 Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Fair enough' date=' but then Ashwin,[b'] Ishant, Sehwag etc should all be dropped as well. I hope they are :pray:
express bowling Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Fair enough' date=' but then Ashwin, Ishant, Sehwag etc should all be dropped as well.[/quote'] Yes.
Cevno Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Munaf is injured for a while and his Int'l career should be over now. Last played in champions trophy. Uske jaise kaafi bowlers hain and he was a lazy cricketer.
Crookbond Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 No' date=' but he is trapped in a 53 year old body.[/quote'] Currently he's trapped between Bobby's legs. :--D
Cevno Posted January 11, 2013 Posted January 11, 2013 Last played in champions trophy, will be next seen in IPL. :giggle:
Desi Cartman Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Currently he's trapped between Bobby's legs. :--D :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
Tendulkar_Bhai Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 What ridiculously short memories people have i cant believe! For a decent period in ODI Munaf was our most consistent wicket to wicket bowler, and was key for winning us the WC, economical and tight overs! PK also was our best bowler in England which doesnt say a lot but gave 100%. These constant calls for new blood have led to the likes of Dinda and Awana playing for India. I would happily have had Manuf and PK playing today.
Ultimate_Game Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 "Munaf is our best odi seamer." The sentence makes me weep :((
Number Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Munaf's figures were good around that time. But his fitness and attitude was pissing everyone off. Performance was anyway going down, then in England ODIs he got injured while trying to stop a ball, took 5-6 months to get fit, not even in the Ranji teams now. So difficult to make a comeback in India team for him now.
vandokkum Posted January 12, 2013 Author Posted January 12, 2013 "Munaf is our best odi seamer." The sentence makes me weep :(( But do you think likes of Dinda, Ishant are better?
ExpressPace Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Munaaf Akram Lee is hard done by the selectors. Had he played today, England would have been wrapped up under 150.
Magneto Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 Munaf is history. Agarkar can make a comeback, but not Munaf.
