gakgupta Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Sunil and harsha claims that pitch is dead rubber.....but it doesnt look that falt....indian seamers got something out of it...infact got 3 top order wickets.....england seamers didnt bowled bad at all.....so batting from bath teams are below par.....or bowling is super good or pirch is not that fakt?
Marut Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 The equation flat pitch = no batting collapse isn't true. It also depends on the strength of the teams playing the game, current team forms, form for the day etc. Pitch was flat - but poms got flattened. It wasn't the 350 wicket it was claimed to be. It was probably a 275 wicket where England imploded to 155.
Clarke Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Its easy to blame batsmen on bad shot/lack of technique, hence the overused term flat.
King Tendulkar Posted January 19, 2013 Posted January 19, 2013 Ranchi would have made good test pitch. With a track like that, I expect in a few years time some really good players to come from jharkahnd ie Fast bowlers and batsman who can play pace. The mohali track has produced dividends for punjab in their FC players coming through, same may happen in Jahrkhand
