Lurker Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 Khosla ka Ghosla must have made more than 10 times what Little Miss Sunshine collected in our country. I'm not sure what you imply by this example but those that are biased towards Hollywood without rhyme or reason are an extremely tiny group pseudo-intellectuals (i.e. Aamir Khan fans :winky: ). I was comparing arguably the best that Hollywood could throw against what we did in the same year. And I took one genre, indie movie, with close-to life story to do the comparison.

And I took one genre' date=' indie movie, with close-to life story to do the comparison.[/quote'] Not really. There were several excellent to good movies made that year. Just to name a few. The Departed Children of Men Little Children Notes on a Scandal The Prestige Perfume United 93 Stranger than Fiction Inside Man The Illusionist Apocalypto Babel Pan's Labyrinth Devil Wears Prada and so on... None of the Indian movies made that year are even close to the quality to these films.
Sachin=GOD Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I watch mostly Hollywood movies. Occasionally when a good Hindi film comes' date=' I watch it.[/quote'] this.

But to use one of those as an example. Apocalypto. What a crass overrated movie. Good thing it sank Mel Gibson forever:hmmm::hmmm::hmmm:

That's not what sank Mel Gibson's career though. It was his drunk rant against Jews after he got pulled over by cops.

Lurker Posted January 30, 2013 Posted January 30, 2013 I liked Apocalypto... what abt Braveheart? Braveheart was definitely a much better movie than Apocalypto or Passion of the Christ. To me obviously. Some people may like them both.
