Tier 1 - Aus, Eng & SA Tier 2 - Ind, Pak & SL Tier 3 - NZ, WI, BD, Zim If we're to see competitive test cricket tier system has to come into play. Or we'll be served more one sided test match/series.

Tier system makes sense when you have a lot of teams in the fray. Get England to play in Pakistan - Pakistan will spin them out. Most of the teams these days struggle to play away and one sided matches have become inevitable. If there is a way to make all the teams play at home all the time (ha ha) then matches would be more competitive.

And yes Pak whitewashed Eng recently.

NZ almost beaten team Indian in India, we got saved due to Bhajji's batting. and this was supposed to be all time India XI, now we have degraded alot. I suppose NZ will finally manage to win a test or two in India, and will whitewash India in NZ. Their new pacers are decent and will terrorize our FTBs. Don't judge on their performance in SA. They are missing their key players (Vettori/Taylor/fat opener). they very recently draw series in SL.
