FischerTal Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 its good to see Umesh is training at the nca academy i am tempted to include him in the 3rd and 4th test squad nahin. save him for south africa. In india, if a motera like pitch is prepared again in either mohali or delhi, then you risk injuring him. let Lambu get injured. I dont want to see his experienced face again.
JaFanatic Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 its good to see Umesh is training at the nca academy i am tempted to include him in the 3rd and 4th test squad good way to destroy him :nice:
Crookbond Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Pakistan has pitches fairly like us' date= but they produced great fast bowlers like Wasim, Waqar, and Imran because the passion was there to become fast bowlers. that has always lacked in India because of the whole "containing runs" mindset and making spin-friendly tracks like that horrendous pitch in Chepauk. Are they?
G_B_ Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Just have umesh yadav in the squad. I am sure being in the environment of test cricket will do him a world of good. Its a different issue to playing him. As things stand somebody like Bhuvi bowled about 20 overs in the second first test. Thats hardly any work. I also dont like this mentality of keeping him for south africa. That starts in november 2013 and we basically dont play much test cricket in between. So where is he going to get practice at the test level? He is going to play the IPL anyways based on his recovery status.
G_B_ Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 and btw people talking about Motera injuring him. Umesh bowled 30 overs in the match and took 4 wickets for about 80 runs odd. Since when is bowling 30 overs in a test match back breaking injury territory? even those 30 overs he bowled were split in such a way that he did not bowl more than 12 on any given day
