tweaker Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Umesh Yadav and Varun Aorun were 145+kmph bowlers before injury. After such a long injury layoff, they would be same bowlers or they would drop their pace. After injury they will consult expert, biomechanics team,NCA staff. They will advise them changes in their runup, bowling action to lengthen their careers.I think this two will go Munaf Patel way.
Clarke Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 They'll pick up another injury, at least Aaron will.
rkt.india Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Umesh Yadav @y_umesh 3 hours ago Training time @ NCA.
Old guy Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 i just cant imagine yadav bowling at tundler speeds.. his built is just too strong for that :cantstop: also action is very good and easy for fast bowling..aaron i dont know.. i think he wants to bowl quick but if he changes action then u never know..

He in India that is the difference.
FischerTal Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 when steyn came to scene was quick through out he learned to manage himself only after getting experienced dont u remember steyn's come back series vs nz ? he was deadly quick with swing ! the advantage for steyn though is he comes from a country that is renowned for fast bowling legends who can guide budding talent to become lethal, fast monsters. Umesh Yadav and his Indian counterparts dont have anybody to guide them through that process, unless the likes of Venkatesh Prasad are considered to be lethal bowlers.....
JaFanatic Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 yadav can get guidance for how to run fast and bowl spin

FischerTal Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 Steyn mostly bowls in SA. He in India that is the difference. i agree. i dont expect Umesh or any Indian fast bowler to notch up an average of 22.68, like steyn. However, just going out there and bowling fast yields no dividends, unless its done with a plan. Thats what i feel Umesh lacks, and that is clearly because he doesnt have a good bowling coach.

Pakistan has pitches fairly like us, but they produced great fast bowlers like Wasim, Waqar, and Imran because the passion was there to become fast bowlers. that has always lacked in India because of the whole "containing runs" mindset and making spin-friendly tracks like that horrendous pitch in Chepauk.

Old guy Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 yep...if he wins us some matches in australia, south africa and places we normally struggle in ..imo it will be pretty special :D
