You have written (or at least alluded) multiple times that Ojha's fundamentals in physics are so clear that we will bowl better than Jadeja on flat tracks forget spinning wickets. What happened in the first innings to Ojha or was his nephew playing?

No one says that he should be in the team outside SC. The fact is people are finding it hard to swallow that he's been one of our best spin bowlers in the series because they wrote him off to prematurely. I'm hardly a Jadeja fan - heck I think he should be used ONLY as a 3rd spinner if anything but the ground reality is that he has performed admirably in the opportunities he has got.

Why go into microscopic details about Hughes worth versus Clarke worth where it is fait accompli rather than accepting Ojha bowled poorly on a flat track contrary to your earlier assertion.

I was only looking at the poll choices when I made the comment. Didn't read through all the posts. But yeah Murali Vijay and Jaddu (as a bowler) in this series have made me eat humble pie. Didn't think Murali had it in him to be as patient as he was and didn't think Jaddu could pick wkts in Tests. I was right about Sir Jaddu's batting though :giggle:

Where did I discount? :dontknow: I said (or meant) the wicket's worth was less due to - [A] No runs scored against spin bowling for last 71 balls (this is not just form this is a serious deficiency!) and the wicket was caught down the leg side (always considered a slightly freakish dismissal). You said "Ojha will bowl better than Jadeja on flat tracks". I took it to mean every time unless written, never knew there were T&C apply there. Yes - I agree I'm being a bit unfair on Ojha here. Btw, I also still believe that Ojha is a better bowler than Jadeja all-round as I've said multiple times.

But I get the impression that many people see that as sufficient in the role he currently occupies. He is a no 7 batsman - brought into the team as a no 6 in truth - but you still see some reference to the runs he scores being a bonus. That can't be right and we have seen the manifestation today when Dhoni, Pujara, Sachin don't score then it is alright for Jadeja to get single figures? He made the squad overwhelmingly on the back of his triple centuries more than anything else so because Dhoni finds a different utility does not detract from that.
