Should our young batsmen and bowlers try county cricket to help them learn about foreign conditions? In 2007 tour of England, RP Singh became a better bowler because of his stint in England. If Pujara, Kohli, Bhuvi, and Shami are able to spend time on pitches that are swing and/or seam friendly, I feel it will be a major plus before series in South Africa.

NZ are building a facility that will house artificial pitches, artificial environment for around 10m NZD This is suppose to help the young up and coming players (15-21) plus the NT learn how to deal with turning wickets and 30-40 degree heat with 80-90% humidity, can't India do the same? Plus BCCI needs to build a system where they identify players at a very young age and bring them through a system where they are given proper coaching, shown right diet, given overseas experience. Football, Rugby all have this kind of system

BCCI don't allow our players to play in the county, no point in discussion when the minimum barrier itself is not fulfilled.

i predict bhuvi and shami to make a big impact overseas, especially Shami. His List A average is 22.67. Not mediocre by any standards. Bhuvi is very handy with the new ball, whether red or white. His job will be consigned to getting the early wickets. If you are going to call them mediocre on the basis of their performance on Indian pattas :facepalm:

Thats how you prepare for overseas tour. but of course Srini Mama wants Indian players to be consigned to home wins and IPL on road pitches :wall:
