Duncan Fletcher's contract could be extended

He gets a C for sleeping through his contract years while the players and selectors sorted things out. Sometimes the best thing to do is to do nothing. This is what Fletcher does. Sleep, Eat and majjha ni life

seems to have the backing of Dhoni though. Never seen him ever utter a bad word about him. I think Fletcher basically leaves all the planning to MSD for tactics and selection. He is just there to offer technical input. When he was England coach he was more involved but hated media assignments.

Isn't this perfect ? No controversy and he is doing his job and with good selectors we are decent side again some how lol

I wonder how much "coaching" goes into cricket. For basketball, they spend hours sorting out tapes, analyzing every player, teams and their tactics to find their weaknesses.

SInce the thread was created, we are yet to lose a series! :yay: And look at the positives - Dhawan's arrival with a bang - Rohit finally fulfilling his talent - Sir Jadeja becoming frontline spinner - Shami's great debut - Vijay's heroics with the bat vs Aus Duncan Fletcher :hail:

Fletcher provides input on strategies for matches as well as fast bowlers.
