With the "sources" close to the selectors, players and BCCI. This way they can't be held responsible for the credibility of the reports. If it is false, then "oh, they were bad sources". I think TNN is the worst of it all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dravid left us in the lurch, say selectors TNN / Chandresh Narayanan MUMBAI, September 17: Whatever maybe his reasons, the national selectors and senior BCCI officials feel completely 'let down' by Rahul Dravid's decision to resign. The selectors had no indication of it despite interacting with Dravid every day during the recent England tour. "This is simply not on. He has just left us in the lurch before such an important season. The selectors are now left to do all the running around," commented a top BCCI source. Various quarters have mentioned how Dravid was 'feeling suffocated' and pressured by the selection panel, but the five-member panel has denied the allegation. "We have always backed the captain. If we wanted Dravid could have been sacked immediately after the World Cup. There was so much claimer for that, but we did not give in," revealed the source. With an important six months coming up, the selectors feel Dravid should have given enough notice before making his decision. "It just shows that he wanted to win a series (England) and then move out. It was as if he wanted to prove a point. The Australia tour will be the toughest in recent times, probably he does not want to face failure," commented another top source. But could it have been the pressure of captaincy? "If that was the case why did he accept it in 2005? He should not have done it then," he added. What probably angered the sources more was that Dravid resigned after expressing his opinion on the selection of the India 'A' team. He wanted a former India opener to be tried out before the away series against Australia.

But India A team think could have given him reason enufff to resign... I would side with RD than anyone else from Selection Panel...
Huh?? He wanted Akash chopra to be readied for Australia tour and selectors chose him in India A squad vs SA A. This would give him enough reason to resign?? How?
