BeautifulGame Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Also does any one agree along with International ave IPL and Big bash averages also be added. This will increase the sample size to a much larger level and the the culminating average of there three will give a more accurate picture of their ability and performance imo

There are many talented T20 players out there who haven't got many opportunities in T20Is simply because teams don't play much T20I's apart from the WC.

Sidhoni Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 where do we get those stats :idunno: I think you can get it in cricinfo and if not there, check out the respective sites of IPL, BBl etc.
Sidhoni Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 But the primary importance should be given to International T20s only. We should give 70% weightage to the T20Is and remaining 30% to all these domestic leagues
zakk Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 ICF was down so I couldn't make me second pick. My second pick is Cameron White ek accha player bacha tha o bhi gaya
Sooda Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 So we still only pick players who have played intl t20s? And wouldnt taking domestic leagues into consideration mean the 200 runs and 10 wkts min would need to be revised?
Sidhoni Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Kieswetter. Need a WK :(( That is why I picked Dhoni - batsman-keeper-captain all in one. Others are picking **** batsmen just to fill WK quota! :cantstop: Oh and btw,

What I suggest is that qualification remains same and player has to be one has satisfied them. Just that while playing matches, the domestic league averages would also account for a certain value to judge the player on basis of conditions, oppositions etc.
Sidhoni Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 BG picked a better T20 WK..:finger: Dhoni > ABDV in LOIs. And anyways, he ain't a better captain. :--D
Sidhoni Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Look of my team as of now : 1. G. Smith(vc) 2. Warner 3. R. Taylor 4. C. White 5. Dhoni©(wk) 6. 7. 8. 9. Malinga 10. 11. Finn

This is what I am also suggesting. A simple rough calculation would be 25% of IPL ave + 25% of big bash ave + 50 % of int ave will give a much fairer reflection imo
