I remember few people comparing Azhar to Dravid. tumblr_inline_miaz80H0BB1qghqjo.gif
Azhar Ali is a good batsman and will end with around 6000 runs, 15-20 100s and a 40-41 test average. OTOH if Pujara doesn't end with 10k+ runs, 35 100s and average over 50, he would not have done justice to his talent.
These 2 posts just sum up the thread.

Azhar is a quality batsman' date=' will be in category in very good batsman like averaging around 45-48 but Pujara would be competing with great of the game imo.[/quote'] Early 40s more like. 45-48 is VVS, Martyn, Gilly category. He's not that good.

Wrong idea' date=' the level of cricket is not the same any more as it used to be[/quote'] Ok true. 45-48 nowadays is Ganguly, Mark Waugh category (which is early 40s). Azhar will avg in early 40s which is comparable to Atherton,Nasser Hussain category.

Pujara for me,he is class.as for Azhar,he is not that talented, but he is very solid and technically Sound, which is very good for our slogging Pakistan,if he sustains average over 40 ,will be very good.
