Worst spinner has to be Harbhajan Expensive has to be Chawla, Tahir and Lyon and in that order.
Bhajji worst spinner? When he was in his prime, he was one of our greatest Indian bowlers of all time.

We have a competition Bryce Mcgain http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/350474.html This guy was a joke :cantstop: Ashwell prince slammed 48 runs in 19 balls from this guy.
You can't make a claim about a spinner from just 1 Test match. He was by no means a joke - he came in to ball at a difficult time for Australia. He was one of the best spinners Australia had but age was not on his side. He had to struggle past the likes of Warne and Miller to get through to play for the state side. He was widely regarded as the best spinner in Australia after Warne and MCGill.

Yes I know swann and monty outperformed your spinners on those wickets and ajmal outperformed swann and monty on the wickets of uae so ajmal>swann>monty>ojha>ashwin
yes but ajmal still chucks and cheats

And you talk about declining post quality. :headshake:
I4MTW --- the thread is about current spinners ... why bring up when he was in prime stuff. Current bhajji is crap. @Dexter ... I rate current bhajji worse than Maxwell ... tell me if you don't agree.

This isn't about spinner's whether current or past. This is about spinner's who have always been very expensive and **** poor. Bhajji does not come into this thread. Chawla might.

But the poll clearly asks who is the most expensive spinner currently :idunno:

Still that title belongs to Imran Tahir. 300 runs in a single innings>>>>>100 runs in an innings(current Bhajji).

The thread is about current "expensive" spinners.

I gave my list of spinners I think are expensive ... the thread isn't about stats else we can just use Cricinfo. I think Chawla is the most expensive bowler, higher than Tahir. I added my own perspective where I think that on current form, Bhajji is the worst spinner playing tests. That isn't criminal to add an extra view point though not fully related but not totally unrelated.

Thanks carnish. There's one point I disagree on with your stats -- Chawla's economy rate is 3.29, Tahir's is 3.66. If you have some other stats, let me know.

Plus if you want to argue about stats, Tahir plays in South Africa where pitches rarely assist spinners like in one test against Pak this year but chawla plays in India. Huge difference.
