ludhianvi Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 So guys, who should India go with against the Aussies. With Yuvraj hopefully coming back into the side, would Karthick go out? The only other possibility of tinkering is with Joginder Sharma for Agarkar I'd stick with Jogi. My X1 The same as the winning combination Sehwag Gambhir Uthappa Yuvraj Dhoni Rohit Sharma Pathan Joginder Sharma Harbhajan RP Swing Sreesanth
fineleg Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Jogi is neither a pacer nor a spinner. Neither here nor there trundler. Aussies will have no problem swatting him like a fly. Get Yusuf Pathan - bit of risk, but hey its a match against Aussies, lets take a risk and try. And while fielding sneak in KKD for substitute fielding once in a while for VS or someone.
yoda Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 I would play Aggy the Aussie killer (seriously) instead of Jogy tomorrow.
DesiChap Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Sehwag Gambhir Uthappa Yuvraj Dhoni Rohit Sharma Pathan Chawla Harbhajan RP Swing Sreesanth

Holysmoke Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 UV for Jogi. Straight swap. UV and sehwag can bowl 4 between them.
Zap_Brannigan Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Jogi has neither pace or accuracy in his side.....I am tempted to swap sehwag and rohit sharmas places or bring karthik instead of rohit and make him open with Gambhir. I would rather have Yuvi/Sehwag/Dhoni bat in the last 6-7 overs.
Rajiv Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 What and who is this joginder? I mean it looks like he was trolling around the cricket ground and someone gave him a ball to bowl, and said "lets play in Indian team" He is just a filler

The guy did well there but it means nothing.
Zap_Brannigan Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Indian domestic cricket system to be blamed. The guy did well there but it means nothing. It means nothing in this form of cricket. He could well be a handy ODI player but you need something extra to check the batsmen. Either pace or spin or atleast experience. Piyush Chawla would be a better T20 bowler than this guy but having 2 spinners is a big gamble.
Promeet Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Does anyone have a highlights package for yesterday's game? Would love to see it!!
The Outsider Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Does anyone have a highlights package for yesterday's game? Would love to see it!! They are in the cricket videos section.
Sooda Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 Chawla wdnt be bad idea...hes a quality bowler gives it flight and variation will keep thme guessing- slow bowlers are the way forward in 20/20. he can bat a bit ish too But bit of a risk to bring him in now- Yuv for Jogi would probly be the way with him and Viru bowling a bit- bit batting heavy tho- and 2 part timers vs the Aus is a gamble
Predator_05 Posted September 21, 2007 Posted September 21, 2007 India won't change a winning team. They never do and it won't be any different this time either YUVRAJ will come in for Karthik and that will be it.
ludhianvi Posted September 21, 2007 Author Posted September 21, 2007 Apparently, Joginder Sharma has done well with the ball and bat at the domestic level. He also scored a lot of runs when India A toured the Aussies, IIRC.
