Here are Gayle's stats against SL Game / Overall / vs SL T20 / 35.5 / 24.3 ODI / 38.3 / 24.7 Test / 42.5 / 36.5 In tests that as after hitting 333 in one innings. Gayle was simply Vaas' and Murali's ***** during their palying days, and even Kulasekara bowls well to him these days.

Mathews wouldn't have done that.
