Walked in at 33/3 in a must-win game. Ground it out at first against some excellent pace bowling on a juiced up pitch, then exploded to end with 50 off 40, following up with running out South Africa's biggest hitter. Today, came in after two quick wickets - of our best/in-form batsman and then captain - with Umar Gul bowling well, the run rate restricted and India looking as if they might not have enough on the board. Finished with 30 in 16 balls, a vital cameo at the end that just pushed the total to a level that proved too much for Pakistan. I'm willing to bet that a few years from now, this tournament will be remembered not just for the win but for the emergence of one of the finest batsmen of the next cricketing generation.

Good find for India. Has played some excellent cricket under tough situations. Play him more I say, LOI is next step and Test cricket down the line too. The lad has the mental fortitude to excel at top level.

80-90 odd runs and yet to get OUT... and he is still a KID.. :D played against 3 of the best bowling attack in CRICKET.. no body could get him OUT..

Rohit was amazing. I think he was the key to us winning this tournament. Everyone else played their part (and had their own special moments too) but this guy held it all together in the end for us. I think BCCI will be calling him up for the final 4 games against the Aussies.

His cameo today was absolutely vital. Definitely one for the future. I like his style - he is a classy strokeplayer and he always seems to have time to play his shots.
