Sachin=GOD Posted May 25, 2013 Posted May 25, 2013 That didn't happen to SRH(DC) there it was a case of owners not being able to pay the money I guess - here its a case of owners (i.e. the BCCI President and his family) being involved in betting/fixing and maybe (I hope its not the case) even some players so I guess the BCCI would like a fresh start with a completely new team based in another city with different players.

They come to get entertained and they got that by a few extra boundaries hit of their bowling. No sentiments are attached too because hardly any Rajasthan player is playing for RR. It is pure money making business and they did same too. Same argument is given by IT dept. Breach of trust would have been a bigger argument if they had done it while playing for the country.

Also this is franchise/city based teams playing cricket,you don't need players from same place , people expect their team to win.There is no entertainment if you team members fixed overs/matches.

I just saw it on FB posted by some guy. i dont know how fixing reduces my entertainment...... in fact it increases it becuz when its a simple game between a strong team and a weak team and everybody is sure who would win then becuz of fixing the result might surprise us....... and entertainment lies in surprise.

I am just thinking from lawyer's POV. These types of argument can easily come from them and may even save them.

They can and they will. IT department has established that IPL is a pure commercial and money making venture. According to them, it is not a sport, but entertainment. Players just provided more entertainment. :winky:

But the WWE is not dis honest about the fact and the paying fans know it. But this is not true for IPL. there has been no official declaration of this being a fixed league, it is still under the official board, the ICC and under all cricket rules of fair play
