9:55 am: According to Mumbai Police sources BCCI chief N Srinivasan's son Gurunath Meiyappan claims that someone called Terry from ICC warned him about bookie links in April when IPL 6 was starting. Mumbai Police suspects Terry could be an official of the anti-corruption unit of the ICC, say sources. Meiyappan claims the warning was given to him orally but was not formally sent to the BCCI. Mumbai Police sources also ask why did the ICC not formally inform BCCI of the suspicion about Meiyappan.

but i dont know how he would be able to control BCCI. If his ambitions are to be BCCI president again, its gonna take a long time because after south zone, east zone will get its turn at the presidency.

That graph is completely wrong. CCI doesn't even have a vote. Saurashtra is anti Srini too. Kumble is aligned with Dalmiya and should be in fence sitters. Gujarat is also on the fence. Best part is that they have included Shirke and Maharashtra as Pro Srini in that. He has already resigned in protest dude. :hysterical:

KCA has traditionally been anti - pawar all along and ever since the start been allied with Dalmiya. Brijesh Patel is still there, so not sure Kumble will want to break that. Dalmiya holds 4 votes that can swing including 2 of his own and Haryana.

He has political reach mate, as simple as that. His ambitions are not to be BCCI president but to wrest the power from south to west again.

Patel has always been a Dalmiya loyalist. http://www.rediff.com/cricket/report/patel/20060525.htm They offered a olive branch in 2007 to Pawar after Dalmiya almost retired but Pawar rejected it. And as for first part, it's not West vs South at all. It's West vs East again if anything as of now, and Pawar wants to take over or get a more pliable candidate. He also wants to teach Srini a lesson and others are abandoning a drowning ship to jump on another floating one.

At the working committee meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, two more nails, perhaps the final ones, were drilled into the coffin of Jagmohan Dalmiya, the former president of the Indian board and the ICC. In a move that is widely being interpreted as a switching of loyalties, Brijesh Patel, a staunch Dalmiya loyalist, was given a post on a BCCI committee. And perhaps more damningly, the representative of the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB), Saradindu Pal, said that his association respected the board's decision to expel Dalmiya.
Equally significant was the fact that Patel, the former Test batsman and currently president of the Karnataka State Cricket Association, was named on a BCCI committee. Outside of Bengal he was one of the few Dalmiya loyalists, and it was no coincidence that he was the only prominent member of the board not to get a posting in any of the board's 20-odd committees in the last AGM.

That was when Dalmiya wasn't in the board and he had no other option. As i said before in 2006/07 he offered a Olive branch to pawar but that didn't last long. Now that Dalmiya is back and playing a more important role, for Patel between Pawar and Dalmiya it's a no contest. It's Kumble's decision ultimately but he won't want to shift loyalties either. Hence him still sitting on the fence with Dalmiya wrt Srini. Don't be surprised in a compromise Kumble or Patel get a board post again either.

11.21 am: The Delhi Police on Monday said it will speak to former BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale to "understand BCCI's role in the agreement between IPL team Rajasthan Royals and cricketers". The Delhi Police stressed Jagdale won't be questioned. Jagdale is expected to reach Delhi around noon. The agreement that Rajasthan Royals had given to the Delhi Police is a tripartite one, between the BCCI, the team and the cricketers. On the basis of this contract, Rajasthan Royals had become a complainant in the case under section IPC 409 which is related to criminal breach of trust. Since they have arrested the cricketer (accused) and examined the team RR (complainant) in this case, the police now want to examine BCCI's role in the agreement. The police want to understand the revenue model in this agreement. The police want to see if the BCCI too wants to become the complainant in this case.
