Not sure dude. Cops need to establish that before the teams were announced owners had access to info. I'm assuming here: that once teams are announced, players are barricaded off, phones taken away and confined along-with coaching staff to dressing rooms! Again pure speculation. Your point about team owners is totally valid though, it does seem obvious that team management would have some inside info. So if they were betting they would use that to their advantage. Which is definitely illegal. But in terms of proving it in court I don't think it's all that black n white.

But the point is for now, atleast CSK are able to show off that Meiyappan is not connected to management in anyway. Though everyone know thats not the case, we still dont know if India Cements can produce evidence to make the judicial system accept its claim about Meiyappans stature in CSK. But in case of Kundra, its it seems his involvement with the team in beyond denial. Or RR is incapabale of making the denial (Now guys dont jump on and say RR is so honet. They are just incapable or unable to change the facts regarding the ownership) If you want CSK to be scrapped on moral grounds even if Meiyappan's involvement in Tem amgmt. can't be proved, on the same Moral gound's how can an organisation be brought down since its CEO is involved in illegal activities?

Let me try to make this a bit more clear here. Lets assume that Meiyappan is just an "enthusiast" (contrary to all other evidence). Now, he got access to certain team areas including the ground etc. I want to know who the phuck gave him that access and want that MoFo tracked upon, hunted and pay for his actions. The very fact of allowing Meiyappan access to such areas which can be potentially used is an error. Everyone is responsible for his or her actions.

DM, no one is saying Meiyappan shouldn't be punished. That is up to the courts and lawyers. I am only talking about the specific IPL clause which says a franchise can be terminated if an OWNER did xyz. Are you saying that clause applies to CSK simply because Meiyappan had an all access pass? If he had no DIRECT ownership in CSK or majority ownership in any company which owns CSK and is just an employee or an enthusiast, I am not sure that clause should apply to him. Even in case of Kundra, it is absurd IMO to terminate a franchise just because of the actions of one individual. What about the fans of RR? It makes more sense to force him to sell his share and get the hell out of the IPL instead of destroying the franchise and asking fans to start supporting a totally new team with no continuity.

Meiyappan was in the mail sent by Shukla to the owners of the franchises. What additional proof is required? Srini keeps shouting that he is not an owner whereas he was till few weeks back.

If RR gets suspended and CSK manages to stay then I could see court cases coming up against BCCI pretty soon....BCCI will have to do lots of explaining... Srini will personally not like RR to get suspended else the focus will certainly be on CSK...
