Crookbond Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 as far as i know' date=if two teams have same points then teams with most head to head wins during that season will be placed at top..MI won both their matches against CSK..then y r they not placed above the CSK at the table.. am i misunderstanding the rule?? can anyone clarify me pls NO Where teams have an equal number of points their relative positions shall be determined by the following: a. the team with the most wins in matches in the League during the season will be placed in the higher position; b. if there are teams with equal points and equal wins during the season, then in such case the team with the higher net run rate will be placed in the higher position; c. if following the net run rate calculation above there are teams which are still equal, then the team with the higher number of wickets taken per balls bowled in the matches played that season in which results were achieved will be placed in the higher position; d. if still equal at the end of the regular season then the team position will be determined by drawing lots.
PriyankaSR Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 MI's net run rate is lower than Csk's because of today's big loss

xblack888 Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 net run rate will be taken into consideration only if the teams have won equal head to head matches...then why was it given as first option??????
xblack888 Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 even during last ipl commentators were saying about tis rule frequently..but no one was talking abt it now
Crookbond Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 net run rate will be taken into consideration only if the teams have won equal head to head matches...then why was it given as first option?????? Did you read what I posted? NRR is the first tie breaker. H2H does not count.
SLICKR392 Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 i gave this pic to jalebi' date=' glad people like it[/quote'] Good stuff :hatsoff:
xblack888 Posted May 18, 2013 Author Posted May 18, 2013 Did you read what I posted? NRR is the first tie breaker. H2H does not count. yes i read ur post..i also recommend u to read ur same post again.. the point A clearly suggests team with most head to head wins will placed at higher position.. only when point A doesnt get satisfied u have to go to point B..
Pagalpanti Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 yes i read ur post..i also recommend u to read ur same post again.. the point A clearly suggests team with most head to head wins will placed at higher position.. only when point A doesnt get satisfied u have to go to point B.. Most wins doesn't refer to H2H, rather most wins out of the 16 games, if those happen to be same. NRR comes into play. Not that hard to comprehend tbh
yoda Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Delusional Bambis worried about being #1 or #2 in regular season. :stupid:
