The Syrian war is having repercussions not just in the Middle East, but unexpected quarters like Australia. The fight between Sunni Syrian rebels against Shia Syrian President Bashar al Assad has spread onto the streets of Melbourne, where new religious fundamentalist gangs are being formed to target the other community. The brunt of these attacks is mostly felt by the minority Syro-Australian Alawites/Shias. Here is a documentary by Today Tonight on this URL. http://au.news.yahoo.com/today-tonight/lifestyle/article/-/17129164/troubled-suburbsgm/ and here is a reaction to this documentary [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flwTl0Rpazs]Today Tonight - Troubled suburbs reaction - YouTube[/ame] just my thoughts at that fat idiot who punched the alawite. this is what happens when governments act coy and refuse to recognize the montrosity that is being formed in their own backyard. Australia and all Western governments need to take severe action against these fundamentalists. Everything that Western democracy stands for is being ripped apart because the governments are afraid to anger the community or feel that their human rights will be violated. these excuses are the reasons such hate-mongerers act with complete impunity. i felt i should post this after the horrific beheading of the soldier in Britain because it fits into the scenario. oh and before anyone accuses me of being a far right-winger spreading fear against muslims, if you watch the reaction video, even peaceful muslims are fed up of this BS. it happens too often now in Western countries
