saneindian Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Most of these pitches at CT have been totally un-English. Will the poms roll out turners for the Ashes to aid Swann and Monty causing havoc? I know ICC controls pitch preparation for global tournaments, yet the local board and curators do have a lot of say and thw pattern does point to the larger English gameplan. Or am I reading too much into it and come the Ashes we will see normal tracks?
cowboysfan Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 They better leave it as it is if they want to win 5-0,there is only one good player of spin in the aussie lineup and he has a back of a 60 year grandma.
JourneyMan Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Now that they've got a decent spinner they've realized they could make the Ashes a straightforward affair. The last series in India probably gave them the motivation to go ahead with this plan.
Pagalpanti Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 I don't think it would matter England a lot. Australian batting sucks vs swing/spin. So eitherway we're in for a 5-0
rkt.india Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 I don't think it would matter England a lot. Australian batting sucks vs swing/spin. So eitherway we're in for a 5-0 but their bowling can make use of greenery.
