Cricashfaq Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Champions Trophy 2013 has given us a new good fresh openers and destructive bowling attack. This squad has been retained for the tri-nation series in Caribbean which is few days away. However, can India give chances to players like Gambhir, Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Yuvraj, Harbhajan singh for the tour of Zimbabwe?? :weights:
namasteji1 Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Not the above names but Dhoni, Raina, Kohli, Ishant etc should be rested and likes of Mishra, Irfan and Vinay Kumar should play.
Lord Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 no,need to give youngsters a go likes of Mohit,Rayudu,Rishi Dhawan etc.
Cricashfaq Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 no' date='need to give youngsters a go likes of Mohit,Rayudu,Rishi Dhawan etc.[/quote'] Yeah, i find that to be a better option too.. Mohit definitely needs a place in Indian team after his 100% input in the IPL. He can strengthen India's bowling attack very well with pacers like Umesh Yadav and Bhuvi
Prakat Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 Yeah, should switch ishant for mohit - India's first chikna pacer.
Cricashfaq Posted June 24, 2013 Author Posted June 24, 2013 Ishant Sharma must be out of the team for a while because of his bad economy nowadays. If he continues to be like that even Zimbabwe will take advantage of us. Should try Mohit Sharma and replace Ishant for Mohit for a while to test this young talent
carnish Posted June 24, 2013 Posted June 24, 2013 I say we need this team. Players will have nearly two months break after this and when we change a squad, the combinations change, doubts creep in minds of players who were rested(unless they are kohli or dhoni). Keeping a settled team is the best way to go forward, but our selectors will never understand that. I can understand the concept of rest if we were playing another series right after that but we have nothing scheduled for two months.
