leave this series to young team.. and all seniors & specialist test players fly to SA and hav atleast one or two practice patches with local xi teams.. most imp.. for players playing CLt20, should not get injured if selected for SA series.. BTW.. this is my first post in this DB.. a Big Hello to all Indian Cricket Fans!!!

Absolute waste of a series! Why not have India play a test series v Pak in India? No trolls please about politics because I don't care about that anymore.
Don't you have a series with SA in UAE around the same time, Oct-Nov?

WTF. Soo what's the thinking behind this BCCI? What are we going to gain from playing 7 odis on the trot against one team! If this was in Australia then yes' date= but this is pointless.

I see the morale booster theory has evolved recently. Does it make sense to you that winning a big tournament doesn't give you confidence to win a small tournament???.
It doesn't but that is what you can make of after watching the game against Sri Lanka. We were pathetic. You can call it an off day but the way we fielded in that game said we were not mentally up for it.
Secondly' date=' you seem to be concerned about revising our historical record against the Aussies by getting a bunch of easy matches in against a depleted side. I'd rather that our record take care of itself instead of us actively working towards it..[/quote'] We are not actively working towards records, it is a series scheduled in the FTP decided 3 years ago and is the return series for when India played a tri-series in Australia. Even I would love to have a tri-series in India but until BCCI is scheduling those, I will take any ODI game instead of seeing the total series cancelled.
