Jersey #10 Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 It almost feels like the players just don't want to be there. :(( Dhoni or no Dhoni, you can make a thousand excuses but fact remains, we got owned left right and center in this tri series What looked like a group of champions in rainy overcast and shortened games at the champions trophy is crumbling against mediocre bowling here.
Cricketics Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 What you mean mediocre bowling man. I think we tend to over react. This is not 15 years ago where team like Australia would dominate and continue to be consistent. We are still doing really good in test cricket according to our standard and the amount of cricket which takes place now days, it's hard to be that much consistent. There is not much difference between top teams in odi's now. In Odi' many teams on their days are beating any other opposition. We have been good at winning at crucial moments as we have been mentally strong, but remember we have never really dominated or won games like by 10 wickets and stuff. It's different era all together. It's just 2 games also. So let's not go much into this. All these teams like Windies, New Zealand play at their best in shorter form at their home. So don't make too much out of these tournaments.
rkt.india Posted July 5, 2013 Posted July 5, 2013 Once you win a big tournament, players are bound to take things if there is another series just after that. Motivation can be an issue in such cases and you need a few set backs to realize it.
