Dinesh is technically sound batsman. During 2007 tour of England, India pushed him to open with Wasim Jaffer and he provided some great starts throughout the series. He averaged 43.83 with the bat. He just lacks concentration sometimes when he throws his wicket away after good starts. Calling him not a capable batsman is a joke.

Here DK gets all excited after getting to know he is getting picked for Zimbabwe tri series and this is DK after his exclusion for Australia odi series. He's doing all right.
