Bezos for $250 million in cash. Bezos is one of the wealthiest people in the world and the founder and chief executive of Amazon.com. The deal ends the Graham family’s control of The Post, which has endured for four generations: The deal represents a sudden and stunning turn of events for The Post, Washington’s leading newspaper for decades and a powerful force in shaping the nation’s politics and policy. I tend to differ - its pretty obvious that in many countries people are consuming more and more news on the internet rather than in print so Bezos, who IMO is one of the smartest businessmen in USA, may just be the person needed to once again change the print newspaper industry. He has the resources (he bought it for 250 million - thats less than 1% of his net worth!!!!), the patience and acumen needed. Or it may turn out that the critics were right and he may completely kill the paper or worse still, use it for political ends.

Plus its annoying to go looking around.

Plus its annoying to go looking around. If you click on the nytimes headline of any article that appears in google search it will take through a hole in the paywall to nytimes itself. All you need is the headline to appear as a search result. All articles do appear in google search as far as i know. They have built it that way. For eg the 1st link below will go through the hole How the U.S. Lost Out on iPhone Work So you you can visit the free main page, highlight+right click + google search any article you want to read and go through google or you can use incognito mode. But this might not give you good recommendations. Both work for nytimes and supposedly work for wsj. I don't know about wp

hhunaeh Posted August 7, 2013 Posted August 7, 2013 The nytimes paywall is built to allow unlimited access as long as you are ready to be a little bit of a cheapass. A lot of the readership choose not to be one and decide to pay up but for the rest us they have allowed easy unlimited access.

It's learnt i am an indian and i am ok with that but after the delhi r*pe incident it kept recommending r*pe articles from india so i deleted them after a long time.
