What my concern is: Why were Land holdings of the church not made part of the Reforms? Why do they not pay any taxes? And how can Indians (non christian types), some Indians (I gather you don't give a damn), just sit by while a foreign entity plays chess unimpeded in their country?

Also, since Vatican is a country then Churches are, technically, embassies. Why does a country need so many embassies? How can foreign country be allowed to function as a free state to such an extent? Why do Temples come under Government purview while Mosques and Churches don't?

That link is dated 2009.. any latest ones? The fact that they are second largest employer after Indian Govt entitles them to hold the land..Doesnt it?
