I've my doubts about this scam. Thorium, at the moment, is irrelevant from energy production point of view. I think, there are 4 working prototypes in the entire world that can utilize Thorium. So 60 lakh crore worth of thorium being smuggled out? For what reason?

Is this a joke? Which Nuclear Plants in the world uses Thorium in such quantities? Smuggled to other nations? It's not a TV or cellphone which can be smuggled - is it being smuggled through the sand? That would need huge, huge volumes. Or is it being extracted from the sand before being exported? Where is the extraction taking place? Sorry, but the report just comes across as yellow journalism.

Old and a baseless story. Remember reading about it last year when the so called 'expose' was proved to be an outright lie . However there have been concerns raised on export of Monazite, the raw material from which Thorium can be extracted.
