punjabi_khota Posted October 8, 2013 Posted October 8, 2013 PhDs are doctors too :protest: On topic: Hell no!
Detonator Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 by that' date=' dentists are "wanna-be doctors".[/quote'] Scientists are wanna-be magicians. Astronauts are wanna-be aliens.
Detonator Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 now you're getting into a whole different argument. We're talking about medicinal doctors. I don't know how MBBS works in India. I am talking about MD vs the others. No it's not. Actually, MBBS graduate shld be referred as a physician, even people who completed FRCS/MRCS/ESSQ doesn't qualify as a doctor and have a right to practice. Only after expertise (like an MD) the term "doctor" shld be used. Dentists are oral doctors as opposed to general medical doctors. A doctor is always not= the one with stethoscope listening to ur heart beat and give medicines. There are many other doctors, like a PhD graduate as panjabi kota said. The dentists who have a DDS/DDM/DD/DMD (which are MD equivalents) can be called as a doctor. I would stop it here as we already derailed the topic. :((
