Bishop had such a good natural action ' date=' injuries not always a cause of the bowling actions but sometimes the weakness in the body areas and structure, I don't see taller bowlers lock their left foot except Patterson seems to have a good lock on his left foot while delivering to get the extra pace and bounce.[/quote'] His action was injury prone. It was strong but too much stress on his back with left lateral flexion which lead to his downfall with back injuries.

There is a school of thought that in most cases your natural action is the best as subconsciously ur body optimizes and is programmed to bowl in a certain way depending on your strengths and body structure , yes tooo much bowling can bring in bad habits and then the minor things that change affect ur pace, direction a lot also hurt you, in Bishops case his action look natural and decent but based on his size , body, flexibility caused or was a factor in his injury.
