It seems, 1. His wife is indeed unwell. A tumor in the lever is what I heard. She is due for surgery shortly. We should not judge people based on news snippets on tabloids. Just because she is going out does not mean that she is not unwell. 2. Sanjay Dutt has not been released from jail.

Would a common man be released (especially after being imprisoned on serious grounds) on parole to attend to his ailing wife?

How difficult is it for the likes of Dutt to get her tested positive for some tumor for the sake of getting parole? I am sure she wouldn't have gone partying to two places at same night if she has a tumor in her liver.Of course, media can be easily managed.

I was merely pointing out a few common misconceptions in the media and social media.

MUMBAI: Actor Sanjay Dutt's wife Manyata, who has been diagnosed with a tumour in the liver and a suspected heart ailment, was admitted to a hospital here on Wednesday. Earlier Dr Ajay Chaughule, a senior heart and cardio thoracic surgeon and heart and lung transplant surgeon at Global Hospital, had said that she needs to undergo some tests, after which it can be decided whether a surgery is required. "We are doing complete investigation for everything for some problems she has ... There are lots of tests that she will have to undergo," Dr Chaughule said.
Liver tumor, now heart ailment added. A heart specialist will check for liver tumor. Looks like she will soon have another ailment of personal choice - appendicitis, tonsils, etc

Sanjay Dutt Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, jailed in the 1993 bomb blasts case, has sought a second extension of his parole to be with his wife Manyata, who is recovering from a surgery, police said today. The actor was granted a month's parole from Pune's Yerwada Jail from December 21 for the second time after he spent all of October at home in Mumbai on leave from prison. He was supposed to return to jail on January 21 but he sought extension of his temporary release from jail by another month (till February 21) which was granted by authorities. Now he has applied for another month-long extension, saying he wants to take care of his wife Manyata, who underwent surgery recently. The actor wrote to Pune's Divisional Commissioner seeking extension of his parole. The Commissioner in turn has asked Mumbai's Khar police station (Dutt's residence comes under its jurisdiction) to carry out verification of the reason cited by the actor for pleading for further relief. Accordingly, the Khar police will respond to the Pune Divisional Commissioner after carrying out verification process in a few days, sources said. Manyata, reported to be suffering from multiple ailments of the heart and liver, was admitted to Global Hospital in Parel here in January. The 53-year-old actor is serving the remaining 42 months of his sentence for illegal possession of arms in a case related to the 1993 serial blasts, in which over 250 people were killed and several hundred wounded. In early 2013, the Supreme Court upheld his conviction and awarded five-year prison term. He has already served 18 months of his jail term. The actor was shifted to Pune's Yerwada Central Jail in May last year, nearly a week after he surrendered before a Special Court here. In the past, Dutt faced several protests outside his home and jail for his parole requests.
It has become a joke now. This way Sanjay Dutt is going to spend almost 4th consecutive month outside jail. I wonder why nobody is raising this issue. Why all Arnav's of the country are silent on this. 4 months outside jail because your wife is not well? Just to put things in perspective. Consider another case. Sadhvi Pragya's father died last year. Her family refused to cremate him until she comes and attend the funeral and sought for one weeks release. It was denied and eventually police brought her to her native village for funeral for few hours only and took her back to jail after funeral. Consider this along with the fact no charges have been proved against her till now and she herself has been diagnosed with cancer.
