StriKe Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 So India will be playing only IPL in India or will BCCI invite Sri Lanka/West Indies to India again ?
Chandan Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 So India will be playing only IPL in India or will BCCI invite Sri Lanka/West Indies to India again ? Perhaps even IPL will be played away from India next year.
I6MTW Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Perhaps even IPL will be played away from India next year. I think an away IPL will give practice and confidence to Indians in foreign conditions.
StriKe Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 I think an away IPL will give practice and confidence to Indians in foreign conditions. really? Then what did this tour do ? http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/series/630755.html
I6MTW Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 really? Then what did this tour do ? http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/series/630755.html Those tour only involved India A team players. IPL will involve all the mainstream Indian players. They can get practice in foreign conditions. Plus out of all the players in that A tour, how many actually got selected?
StriKe Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 ^ Dhawan,Vijay,Pujara,Sharma,Raina,Rahane,Shami,Rayudu - selected from India A to this SA tour
I6MTW Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 ^ Dhawan,Vijay,Pujara,Sharma,Raina,Rahane,Shami,Rayudu - selected from India A to this SA tour Dhawan,Vijay were already openers for India before that tour. Pujar was India's regular no.3 before that toure. Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane were always in the squad for the past year or so, but never made it into the starting lineup. Raina, and Rayudu were in the ODI lineup before the tour. Shami was the only one who was selected for tests based on this tour. He was already playing ODI'S.
StriKe Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 ^ They all got practice in South Africa A tour but they still struggling now ! but Saffers pace attack is no match ! 2-0 to India so far ! Any prediction ?

I6MTW Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 ^ They all got practice in South Africa A tour but they still struggling now ! but Saffers pace attack is no match ! 2-0 to India so far ! Any prediction ? If you had followed that tour, you would've known that pitches during that tour was flat as hell. 400 was scored regularly, and even Dhawan scored a double century.
StriKe Posted December 8, 2013 Author Posted December 8, 2013 If you had followed that tour, you would've known that pitches during that tour was flat as hell. 400 was scored regularly, and even Dhawan scored a double century. yeah 400+ scored in that ODI :cantstop:
I6MTW Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 yeah 400+ scored in that ODI :cantstop: So obviously practice there would not help now. SA intentionally prepared those pitches to feed Indians well before the main course.
Scarves Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I think that the timing of the England series is best for India, no one will care because of the FIFA World Cup.
StriKe Posted December 12, 2013 Author Posted December 12, 2013 I think that the timing of the England series is best for India' date=' no one will care because of the FIFA World Cup.[/quote'] But England will be kicked out in group stages :--D OP Updated
