BJP + ADMK seems like natural alliance given that Jaya is a big Modi fan and INC's alliance with DMK in the past. Not sure why this fekcup with MDMK.
Probably because Communist parties have better vote share % than BJP and will be happy with Rajya sabha seats as well unlike BJP. Also the real possibility that joining with Modi might polarize muslim voters towards DMK and Amma dont want to risk that

Haryana Vote Share Congress 32% BJP 20% AAP 17% and INLD 15% (Janhit Congress not polled) Punjab, SAD+BJP 45% Congress 27% AAP 14%.... once again AAP heavily eating into congress vote. As per CNN IBN based on these vote share it will be a BJP-SAD clean sweep of 12 seats.

actually this poll was made from 5-15 Jan. There is going to probably be a drop in AAP votes based on the current protests. Its a odd situation for the BJP. AAP in Delhi might hurt them. But AAP in Punjab and Haryana might help them

so if you take 207+217/2 is 212 So what the India Today/Headlines Today Mood of the Nation tells me is that BJP is expected to get 192 seats while the Sena-Akali-Janhit getting about 20. I think CNN IBN predicts the same thing. BJP 190-200. They differ with India Today on Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh

what these surveys are telling right now is the best case scenario for BJP and the worst case scenario for Cong so it doesn't exactly tell the whole picture...
