You still have to add the tally from every machine by hand.
Sachin=GOD Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Asim makes a very valid point or raises one. I am sure the bookies will know which way the trends and winds are blowing. Especially in UP and Bihar . They will conduct their own exit polls outside the EVMs and compile the data. It wont come out in the print media but with twitter and facebook me things that having it in phases is not such a good idea. Bookies were pretty accurate last time and even with the results in December for the 4 states. They did predict a hung house in Delhi and were the closest to getting Delhi right. Much better than surveys the local bookies are wrong many times. In the 2012 UP Assembly elections they were absolutely sure about BJP winning certain seats which it went on to lose. Same with BSP in 2009 Lok Sabha.

After the party's state unit made a written complaint to the Election Commission early this week, the Congress candidate from Sawai Madhopur constituency Danish Abrar has sent a complaint to the prime minister's office. Abrar, who lost to BJP's Diya Kumari, has asked for an examination of the EVMs used and an investigation into the alleged tampering with the machines. Abrar, along with his party colleague Prashant Bairwa, who lost from Tonk's Niwai seat, addressed a press conference in this regard on Saturday. Congress will look to tie up with many partners like the TRS and the big one is the BSP. Congress-BSP tie up will be a game changer. Thats a big if.

But with anti incumbency at very high levels, it is safe to say that they should go 180-200

They still have yet to make a mark in TN, WB and Andhra. Are reliant on non traditional partners there. In a direct Bjp v Congress contest there is only one winner atm. @desi there will always be post poll alliances in the making. Especially from TN and Andhra

Jagan may/will support from outisde. TRS also not ruled out...it was with NDA last time.. Amma may give outside support to her friend if she gets around 18/20 seats..if she win more than 25 seats , then she may want bigger pie

JD(u) is one party which is being squeezed on both sides. One side Modi's BJP the other side RJD-Congress-Paswan. There are going to be a lot who are going to jump ship.
