Before blaming selectors - first look at the playing 11

Yes selectors are corrupt and regionalistic and nepotism is horrible. Completely agreed and it is terrible to say the least. But even if they make one or two new good picks - in the rare instance they pick one good pick - DESPITE THAT - MSD will play his favorites in the 11, and the rest (like Rahane earlier, Umesh Yadav or Pandey now) will be drinks carriers. So even those picks will not get a chance to make mistakes, gain experience and over time establish themselves. So, whats the point of blaming selectors when the playing 11 is fixed ahead of time and "we are playing unchanged 11" by MSD :nervous: Its almost like not being selected in squad is good - so atleast Rahane (earlier) or UY or Pandey and others can play domestics or county etc. In the squad - they are glorified Water boys and they will get rusty warming the bench or being net bowlers instead of playing real domestic matches at least.

Agreed, it's the final XI that counts. Pandey was selected - but will he play? Zak and Ishant are in the team, but will they be dropped? Stay tuned.

Anyway, there has been times where a new cricketer, when selected played. for eg. Shami Ahmed was selected for the England tour of India 2013, and he played the full series. He was also selected for Pak series, and he played the 3rd ODI. He had no connection or relation with Dhoni.
