MCcricket Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 Look I know u love cricket a lot so getting emotional and saying thing like this is understandable but even if he bowls crap and what not u should just wish he is not selected or dropped from Mumbai team even instead if hoping about physical injury when he has not done anything wrong His job is to bowl and if he does not bowls well then it's selectors job to not drop him not his fault that he is selected even when he bowls badly cos he is giving his all..he went though lot of training even if it's not enough and he is crap now u cannot fault him...fault lies with people who select him not Zaheer so I hope he keeps on playing long in ranjis and if he is good enough for India ..really still respect him even if he is no longer good and let's hope he has good future :two_thumbs_up: :icflove::two_thumbs_up:
MCcricket Posted February 8, 2014 Author Posted February 8, 2014 Well u guys now ull see the picture we r carrying dead beats, Ushant, Zak, Dhoni abroad in test's,Zak did yeoman service for India but he is not doing anything bowling at 125 , if he has any pride and Zak any brains he should be out n worst now with those wickets from Ushant we r stuck with the loosed too
express bowling Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Zaheer is looking unfit and out of gas. He should understand this and retire. Seems unlikely though. He will play on and Dhoni will not drop him.
Old guy Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 but he bowled so well today and probably guided shami on other end a lot he always does this with youngsters.. i still maintain that in these conditions i will take him over out of form umesh and bhuvan

Because he was a quality bowler, he will come up with good spells from time to time. But, an unfit and out of steam 35 year old pacer will never be consistent because his body will let him down. That's what we have seen from Zaheer after his return. This guidance thing is overrated. Shami bowls well even when Zaheer is not around. Ishant sprays the ball around with scrambled seam , even when Zaheer is around.

But indias predicament is dhoni is so poor tactically he has to play zaheer. But i would tell zak he will be picked in certain conditions and play more of a mentor role to young bowlers.
GautiMaan Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Lean and mean thing seems to be overdone Zak looks and bowls like a 35 year old Unadkat

So, basically what you are saying is that we need Zaheer's guidance and experience. Why not have him as a bowling coach then. Play Shami, Umesh and Pandey with Zak as the bowling coach.
express bowling Posted February 8, 2014 Posted February 8, 2014 Shami , Umesh, Pandey, Aaron and Pankaj should be our pace pool for tests. Zak as bowling coach to add experience , motivation and strategy. Dhawal, Suyal and Shukla should be developed as backup.

Play Shami, Umesh and Pandey with Zak as the bowling coach. look what you are expecting from zaheer is too much truth is umesh with his current form wont even do this much damage and pandey is yet to debut and this is his first tour with team so he is in scheme of things but he will be played in easier match first and then brought into test team (this has happened with every bowler in last 2-3 years from umesh to shami ) we all want new bowler in team but keep in mind ishant is total brainless and shami is bowling first time here..just remember what happened in south africa before world cup where just zaheer coming into team lead to lot tighter bowling ..would have been great if dhoni had clue about fast bowling but he does not while zaheer leads the attack even when he is not bowling well for a rookie to know that some one experienced is playing along side him is big deal and you cannot completely ignore it and on top of that zack actually did pick wickets and had dropped catch of him in both innings an built lot of pressure for shami by not coming a run in his opening spell.. his figures at one time were 8 overs for 12 with 1 wicket..and he come back and gets een taylor (yeah it was not great ball but thats how cricket works ) so basically he gets williamson, taylor and has drop of mcculum these are 3 biggest new zealand batsmen so i just dont get hwy you want him dropped... obviously he is not best bowler in world but he kind of redeemed himelf in 2nd inning and adds lot of variety with left arm angle and like i said here before adds lots of experience..

What you expect from any international cricketer representing India is that he is able to give his 100% and is fully fit. Be it Zaheer, Shami, Kohli or even Tendulkar. Zaheer is not looking fit. I personally would only want him as a bowling coach. We should also remember that we have an Ishant. If 2 pacers out of the 3 ate suspect then the bowling attack looks weak. Regarding Umesh, just of couple of Ranji games are not always a good measure of an international player's form. We have often seen international players performing ordinarily in domestics and then do well in internationals. Umesh looked quite decent in the televised Ranji match and the SAF ODIs.
