Khalpat Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Few hoist flags of Pak on 14th Aug in Mumbai. They have Paki flags waving at many places in Mymbai. But we are "secular" /thread. This might be true, I am not denying it but why to bring the Secularism in this debate. It might be that due to this secularism only we are not seeing the flags all across the country. Democracy and Secularism are two pillars of the country do not try to touch any of these or we will have nothing left. The other point which I want to make is if there are some people who do not love our country then we also need to introspect is there something we also did wrong as we cannot blame entirely on one sect of people. Regarding Muslims, to be fair I have seen only two kinds of treatment from our political parties either they have appeased them and always tried to show them as victim and the other teatment is from Sanghis which have always criticized them. Its high time we need to treat them as just another Indian and they will also treat Pakistan as just another neighbours.

No Hindu sees the Delhi gangrape case and comes to a conclusion that all hindus are rapists. No one sees another criminal of the caste and goes "hmm, all people belonging to that caste must be criminals". But when it comes to any other community, it is a fair conclusion

The IAS has been THE pinnacle of corruption and inefficiency in India. The babudom disease that has plagued us is the IAS.

Where's the disadvantage?[/quote'] No, they don't have the access to the same schools and institutions. In fact no one in the economically weaker sections does. When they struggle for daily survival depending upon ration shops for food and government hospitals for shoddy healthcare, the time and effort required to get a good education takes a backfoot. Even when they do, the competition in ICS is with students who have dedicated years to study for the exam. Not only Muslims, you take any economically weaker non-reserved group and their numbers in ICS will be disproportionately lower It is easier for the middle class to become rich and than for the poor to break into the middle class.

We should stop all the BS of Minority, Dalits, Regional etc. The constitution has already taken care of these things it is now upto the ruling class to make policies only on the basis of the Economic status.
