We were robbed of some of the best moments of the T20 match when NEO sports starting showing ads almost as soon as Dhoni's last six entered the stands. The first and last ball of every second over is missed because of ads, then we have those pop-up ads between deliveries and so on. What next? Ads when a batsman lofts the ball in the air before the fielder catches it, or a small one during the bowlers run-up? Maybe they could ask Arun Lal to sing the jingles of Lux Baniyan and Fair & Handsome cream during the over. Over commercialisation of the game is pissing me off. Only ESPN-Star and Ten Sports give us quality stuff. Neo(nimbus), DD, Zee, Set Max etc are pathetic. Will the BCCI do something about this?

Looks like they haven't found any sponsors to fill that slot. And what's BCCI going to do about the problem? Ask for more money next time so that broadcasters can cut more.

theguyinallblue Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 i think Doordarshan is better in this regard... do you guys abroad get doordarshan..? cable or cable blackout.....i get to watch doordarshan everytime... and Atul wassan is a damn good commentator...both in Hindi and in English.... at least i don't go through the pain of watching Raja and Lal.... watched whole ODI series on doordarshan..and 20-20 as well...

Back then they had a fine group of morons acting as the presenters. The pompous b@stard Charu Sharma taking the lead, accompanied by the loud mouth Srikkanth, someone from the Indian women's team, Mohinder (who was the only one worth listening to) and "Mr. State the Obvious", Atul Wassan. They were all crap, but Zee Sports raised the standard of crappy-ness to a whole new level during their coverage of the IND-SL test series; unveiling a dynamically sh*tty team of Krapil Dev, Nikhil Chopra and Arjuna Ranatunga... I feel deeply sorry for anyone who has to watch cricket in India, especially these home games on DD and Zee.
