Ram Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Who will be the "Kaptaan" ? My bet is on Anil Kumble. He is sort of the Manmohan Singh of the Indian team , the comprimise candidate , acceptable to all. But i think they may go with Sachin , just to boost his career or whatever.
ludhianvi Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 I think the ODIs are first, so they may announce on the day of a crucial one day match and that too in the middle of the ODI series. Thats what they've have usually done with announcing the squad for the one-dayer or the TEsts.
jaideep Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Captain for tests..???? the BCCI's mismanagement has ensured we are destined to leave for the gruelling australian tour without a coach after the ford fiasco...it is unbelievable that we have a decent cricket side inspite of the organizational chaos and a highly unprofessional board...so right now we are headless in test matches as well as without a proper coach/manager

So does that mean that we now have a revolving door policy when it comes to selection of coaches/managers..Y dont we do the same thing when it comes to the captain..we can rotate and appoint all the players as captains series to series so that everybody has a shot at it...:cantstop:..dhoni has had a taste of it..how abt harbhajan as captain for the pak series and sreesanth for the series down under..:D
