alexander Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 No team has warm ups much anymore. Why do you think India should be any different? Excuses, excuses. This is an EASY summer for us. We may even win 7-0.
Switchblade Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Raina in subcontinent is brilliant but in seaming conditions like others looks clueless

This is an EASY summer for us. We may even win 7-0. Whilst we acknowledge that India are crap- we don't accept that they have dropped to a standard whereby we'll lose to England. after all we won the champions trophy in your back yard beating u in the final. You've lost Trott, KP is out of form, Cooks front foot short comings have been exposed, Swann's retired, you've lost Ur main player supply (South Africa), all Ur fast bowlers have taken inspiration from Ishant and become trundlers. Just exactly what do u thnk Ur gonna 7-0 us with? A bit of reality injection my friend, you guys are on Ur way back to being near bottom of the rankings in both forms of the game, like u were in the early 2000s.

mancalledsting Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Despite our poor bowling- we almost drew two tests with South Africa despite poor Umpirjng decisions and unfavourable breaks in play due to rain bad light . England are no bodies compared to South Africa.
Switchblade Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I think Ur under estimating just how poor English batting is ATM. In test matches overseas I have no faith in Dhoni as a skipper.
mancalledsting Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 In test matches overseas I have no faith in Dhoni as a skipper. But I have faith in England's lack of quality.
Switchblade Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Nas said though tha England get intimidated in front of a hostile crowd like CT 2013 final or the whole Ashes where they got intimidated by the crowd
mancalledsting Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 England also get intimidated by any seamer who's faster than Ishant Sharma. Varun and Umesh may have a calling.
Tailender Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Some points I feel have been neglected on this forum thus far. 1. Again, no warm up or acclimatisation games. Our batsmen and bowlers were thrown into the deep end as usual. BCCI does not value warm up games as they do not make any TV money and hence are not commercially viable. But they fail to consider the effect on commerce of your team being drubbed 4-0 abroad. And yet some boo boos on this forum want the BCCI to run the world game. Warm up for ODIs!?!? wtf :hysterical::hysterical:
Old guy Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Warm up for ODIs!?!? wtf :hysterical::hysterical: No but conditions It's no excuse just a factor
Rebel Agent Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Seriously I think India's young bowlers like Aaron, Shami, Yadav, need to go play in county cricket or even first class games in SA or Australia.
mancalledsting Posted February 1, 2014 Author Posted February 1, 2014 Warm up for ODIs!?!? wtf :hysterical::hysterical: first ever tour to NZ for Bhuvi, Dhawan, Rahane, Kohli, Rayudu, Aaron, Shami, Ashwin etc. A warm up game wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world. These guys are left to suss out unfamiliar conditions in the middle of a live international match.
Switchblade Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Seriously I think India's young bowlers like Aaron' date=' Shami, Yadav, need to go play in county cricket or even first class games in SA or Australia.[/quote'] Thing is IPL clashes with the county season then you have the domestic season of Australia starting during Nov-Dec and during that time too we are playing international matches with xyz teams so how can they play in the domestic season of the respective countries.
Tailender Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 No but conditions It's no excuse just a factor right. India had an A tour to South africa a mere two months before playing there... Still got desimated in the ODIs. Enough excuses, time to kick out non-performers (Ashwin, Dhawan, Rahane, Rohit, Ishant, etc) first ever tour to NZ for Bhuvi' date=' Dhawan, Rahane, Kohli, Rayudu, Aaron, Shami, Ashwin etc. A warm up game wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world. These guys are left to suss out unfamiliar conditions in the middle of a live international match.[/quote'] If there is no improvement after 8 ODIs away, then it's not the conditions - it's the players, and particularly a really poor bowling attack that's condensed with batsmen who can bowl a bit...
Switchblade Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 The conditions in South Africa were completely different during the A tour in tri series 300 were normal scores they were the flatest wickets
Old guy Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 right. India had an A tour to South africa a mere two months before playing there... Still got desimated in the ODIs. Enough excuses, time to kick out non-performers (Ashwin, Dhawan, Rahane, Rohit, Ishant, etc) I already told u that is not excuse but a factor Simply put I feel my team has more chance to win if they get some prior practice and in South Africa u can argue Kohli kept getting better and better and so did vijay and rahane Like you said bigger problem is people who are playing but are u seriously expecting team full of people who have jot toured here once to perform from the start? Btw that South Africa a tour in Odis was a sham with 400 being scored and almost been chased .. It has been a factor no one can deny that but truth be told some people in this team won't improve even after series is over they are hopeless but everyone will struggle without any practice
