I do not see them leaving much grass. It will help Harris and Siddle as much if it is green and will make them more potent that they have been this series. Before this series, I did not give Aus any chance of wining because bowling wise they can be comparable but SA has a far superior batting line with Smith, ABDV, Amla, and Faf. You cannot name anyone except Clarke whom you could put your money on before the series started. Johnson on his own made a real difference in first test but did not get enough support in 2nd. For them, Lyon also has done well and made for Harris and Siddle to some extent. Pattinson might come for Harris.

Pattinson bowls good test match length, not an ODI bowler but will be their spearhead in tests in coming years. The way he had bowled against NZ and then against us in 2012 was as good as it can get for a debutant.

He was coming back from injury back then and looked rusty and was low in pace too.

lets see tbh its just not that test i just rate guy like harris (when fit ) lot higher than him he just look better for some reason than pattinson even holding was saying this once that brett lee was exceptional talent but pattinson looks good but nothing of that kind.. i think austraia will just include watson and hope whole bowling line up bowls better with more intensity cos of his inclusion..pattinson will probably get his chances at home first

Yes, I saw that ODI match. I already said he is not a good ODI bowler at this point. Regarding comparison of Lee and Pattinson, both had comparable start in test cricket. Lee blown us in 1999. Pattinson did the same against NZ and our batting line up. Both similar even in terms of pace at their debuts, but Pattinson was 2 years younger. LOIs are a completely different ball game altogether now than what it was in 90s and early 2000s. Even the best of 90s would have found it difficult now.

tbh i have only watched him bowl 5 overs in odi cricket :cantstop: i rate him purely from tests and i think he is good but not as good as he is made out to be ..will make our team easily and will lead the attack but he is not as good that you will expect him to come in and perform here.. one for future :two_thumbs_up:
