Yuvraj has played 19 tests, that's the equivalent of around 60 ODIs. When Raina has played that many at the age of 27 and still continues to average 25, then we can perhaps have a like for like discussion. BTW, Raina has played more important ODI innings already than Yuvraj has in Tests.

All this talk about potential, elegance and shot making has to be backed by numbers at some point. He will get one more run in the near future, if he fails to cement his spot, that may be the end of Raina

Where the hell is he meant to learn how to play the short ball? The guy puts in loads of hours in the nets, give him some more time! Sure, he shouldnt be in the starting XI, but he should be in the squad and be groomed further by Sach and co. He could quite easily get over the short ball, the way Dada did.
