She has good qualifications considering she was CM of TN. She did good development in TN(from few sources). The only problem I see in stable government. I don't recall if any third front government ever finished its 5 year term.

But his development in Gujarat is not that convincing according many accounts.

I hardly seeing Congress putting forward Kerala's Chandy forward as PM candidate, and for Jaya, how will see become PM if she remains a regional player.
dial_100 Posted March 7, 2014 Posted March 7, 2014 Only thing that goes in the favor of any regional player becoming PM is that they dont have too many enemies unlike, Cong and BJP. These small parties only have 1 or 2 who oppose them. Rest do not have any direct rivalry with anyone. For BJP on the contrary, even SS, LJP, (TRS/TDP if they join) they themselves oppose BJP on many occasions. Others like, Congress, SP, BSP, JDU, NCP and BJD oppose BJP fiercely. So when BJP takes support of others and their own coalition partners get critical of them, then the other parties will lynch the BJP led Govt. If there is Modi then opposition will be more vigorous. Its Friday so I didnt wanna include Media and the new party in the equation as yet. :haha: To me it is advantage to the Third Front if congress can extend support and keep it for long 2-3 years. Congress need to rebuild their image and for that they need time. Only individual egos could be trouble for them. Very likely that someone from 3rd front could form the next govt. Does it matter who is that going to be? :((:((:((
