saneindian
Openers - Gambhir, Rahul and Jiwanjot Middle order - Jadhav, Manish Pandey, Bawne, Aparajith Keeper - Naman Ojha All rounders - Parvez Rasool, Rishi Dhawan Spinners - Dabholkar Seamers - Bumrah, Pankaj, Shardul Thakur, Sandeep Sharma If Pankaj is picked for England, then Sharath in his place Link to comment
Chandan
Pat Cummins This would be a decent squad for 4 days games: Mukund, Jiwanjot, Lokesh, Bawne, Jadhav, Gautam, Rishi D, Parvez Rassol, Varun Aaron, Pankaj, Suyal Good squad. But Aaron needs to work harder for control and wicket taking balls before he is stakes a claim for India A. Speed is not everything, wicket-taking ability is. Name a few more seamers and batsmen. Chandan
averaged 20 in Ranji. This is not Indian team but India A. Exactly. And India A should be just a notch below Indian team. Even Vinay Kumar was wrecking havoc for Ranji/Duleep and Irani but we know he's not international material. Likewise Aaron doesn't look anywhere near a finished product. Doesn't have anything apart from speed. Link to comment

Doesn't have anything apart from speed. FC stats are not everything. Neither for Vinay nor for Aaron. They are good to an extent. After that, you will have to see other things as well like what kind of a player one is, does he have the talent to become a good player at international level, what's his strength and weaknesses, is he the type of player who usually succeed at internal level? Vinay does not fulfill even one criteria. Aaron fits most of them and he is already with Indian team. You do not get finished product from Ranji trophy. These A tours are what help these young talented cricketer to reach that level. Anyway, Aaron will be in England at that time with Indian team. Link to comment

Speed is not everything, wicket-taking ability is. Name a few more seamers and batsmen. I had a whole 15 :) This would be a decent squad for 4 days games: Mukund, Jiwanjot, Lokesh, Bawne, Jadhav, Gautam, Rishi D, Parvez Rassol, Varun Aaron, Pankaj, Suyal Khadiwale, S Kaul , Jalaj Saxena, Tare Got in some good Ltd overs players like Uthappa, Ishank in for quadrangular In hindsight not Saxena, and Aparjith instead. S Kaul based on what he did last season really. Perhaps Kulkarni and/or Sandeep Sharma should go also. As RKT says its likely that Varun will be in England. There should be different players go in for for Ltd overs series and FC matches. Uthappa Mukund Lokesh Jaggi Jadhav S Tiwary Samson Rasool Bumrah Dhawal Rahul Shukla Link to comment

Long live trundlers. We deserve them Aaron hasn't done anything to be in Test squad. That guy needs to use some brains and have some control first. Or he would end up like another Tino Best. Having pace doesn't qualify you to play in the XI. Yadav showed control with his pace in his debut series while Aaron was all over the place against WI in 2011. Link to comment

rkt.india
Really? So what did he do in the WT20? Took a bucketful of wickets? How many matches did he play? He was the best pacer in SL warmup, but because he could hurt Dhoni's hands like in that warmup, Dhoni played everyone but him. Link to comment
