In tests, you 4 good bowlers, 5th bowler is a luxury who most often than not will be under bowled.

So I would say a keeper has a right to appeal in these cases, and against England absolutely yes... No one from England conflicted with the Broads epic dismissal against Agar... :headshake:

On Bhuvi, no reason to tag him as an all rounder at all. Let him cement his place in the test squad first. For the next test, Binny probably will get one more chance unless its a dry wicket like this. If you have picked him give him a couple of chance before discarding completely.

Binny should be given a few chances before being dropped. But with chances, I mean "proper" chances and not just his inclusion in playing XI to give an opportunity to his haters to take a dig at his dad being in the selection committee and how he influenced his inclusion in the side. He may or may not be the best all rounder, but he is certainly not the worst and deserves more chances.

kubrickian Posted July 12, 2014 Posted July 12, 2014 Don't have to put more pressure on him by promoting him as an all rounder or anything. If he has the ability to bat, he will score runs and will improve and add more depth to our batting. Its something that has to happen naturally. All rounders don't become what they are by pushing them and expecting them to deliver. His job is to be a bowler and let him do that first.

Stop gap bowler who could prize out a wicket or two and bowl economically and a batsmen who was expected to score 30 runs. Failed with the bat and not needed as a bowler as other seamers were doing a good job. Perhaps if there was a big partnership in the middle, he could have been asked to bowl a few more overs.
